    Here's a little gem you don't come across every day. A beautiful '62 Olds Starfire Coupe. Owned by an elderly gentleman who has agreed to part with an old friend. This pampered baby is looking for a new, good home. 


EXTERIOR


Beautiful powder blue exterior with silver top, the paint is 2 stage, basecoat / clearcoat, color sanded and buffed. Exterior chrome and trim are very nice showing some originality and very minor flaws. This car has been freshened up and maintained over the years, but is not considered "restored". Excellent weekend cruiser. 




























































                                         

                                             INTERIOR


The interior on this Starfire is freshly reconditioned, including upholstery, door panels, carpet, center console and headliner. all lights and gauges appear to work properly. Very nice, very comfortable, needs nothing inside. A few little custom touches, but very classy overall and look at all the chrome!


The trunk has been finished out with some custom upholstered filler panels and it looks great. Features Original Safety - Vee steering wheel, console with shifter, A/C, P/S and P/B. 





























































                                  ENGINE / TRANSMISSION


Powered by the original Sky Rocket 394ci 4V V8, this baby pushes around 345hp and 440 ft.lbs. of torque. Runs and drives great and has a nice sound to it. Engine runs as quiet as a church mouse ad the exhaust tips have a nice low rumble to them. No drips, no leaks. This is a great weekend cruiser. 


The transmission is the Oldsmobile 4 - S Hydra - Matic automatic. Works great, no drips or leaks. 


Standard Equipment on the Starfire in 1962: Power steering, self - adjusting power brakes,  bucket seats, sports console with console shifter, electric clock, Safety - Vee steering wheel and dual exhaust.


Comfort and style was the name of the game in '62 !
